Zhou's question 10.21

Bullis & Stout’s paper provides us a way to have a reflective thinking. I like how they are saying that a standpoint feminist perspective encourages careful consideration of the assumptions that are taken for granted in socialization scholarship (p. 59). If I understood them correctly, what they mean by saying viewing socialization through the standpoint feminism is to focus on and voice those marginalized, excluded, or servant ones under the dominant power in a patriarch society through social process. And how they build up the standpoint feminism is based on women’s experience—to serve the capitalist system in necessary but invisible ways—which men haven’t ever had. When I reached at this part, I was so confused by the “women’s experience”. I think my question for this week is:
What exactly did Bullis & Stout mean by saying the women’s experience since women is such a large group that contains various social statuses females? Will the feminist standpoint critique be changed if varying from different women social status?
