Shipra Gupta

In the article by Kramer and Hess, I do agree that in corporate organizations, we do need to control our emotions, express them in right manner to the right people etc but the question is what is the threshold? We by following all these rules transform ourselves from human beings to machines (robots) but till what extent/ till what time can be mask our emotions? Also controlling emotions creates a superficial self and I wonder that does this inhibit information sharing and thus organizational learning?

The second concern I had with this article is that the authors suggest that they used ‘Grounded theory’ and in my understanding of grounded theory the authors should had come out with a concrete theory that would had been helpful to fill a research gap. But I did not see development of a sound theory in this article.
